Then we got a bit more structured and made pom pom Pp's.
After we finished our pom pom Pp's we looked at impressionistic sculptures and talked about what they looked like to us and how they made us feel and what the thought the artist might have been feeling as they created each one.
Then I gave each child several pipe cleaners in various colors and told them to create a pipe-cleaner sculpture of their own. I wish you could have listened in as each child talked about what they were creating and how often what they were creating changed. It was wonderful.
I am making round circles for my family because circles are like hugs and hugs mean you love each other and we love each other in my family. These are for my family.
I made a dog. I like dogs.
I don't know what I'm going to make yet. I waiting to see.
I want to make mine into circles.
I made dinosaurs. My dinosaurs are scary and mean and they say, "ROAR!"
After our sculptures it was time for lunch.
Meat balls with noodles, peas, corn, and banana with milk tor drink.
After lunch and nap we practiced writing our names and worked on this Pp writing activity.
Then we had some Pp fun with purple play-dough.
Thus ends another perfect Picasso Pre~Schooler day.
See you tomorrow.
Ms P.
