Wednesday, February 13th

Today started with us sorting and patterning, and, truth be told, eating conversational hearts.

After thirty or so minutes of free exploration, we made conversational heart counting books.

The books went from one to nine.  After counting and math fun it was time to help the children make the connection to our letter of the week--Vv-- so we made these,

Conversational heart~aka valentine's heart~ V's.

Such yummy learning.

After all our conversational heart learning fun we made these

Heart frames using self-stick hearts and a photo of them in their luv bug hats.  SO STINKIN' CUTE!

After a morning of heart learning it was time for lunch and a nap.

Lunch was ziti, salad, and fresh pineapple chunks and cold milk to drink.

After nap and snack we practiced writing our names.  Then it was time for a little bit of eye/hand and small motor skill development.

Threading straw bits and paper hearts onto plastic string to create theses

Valentine heart necklaces.
