HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
We kicked off valentine's day by making sparkling cherry playdough.
The recipe called for strawberry but I have a little one with a strawberry allergy so we used cherry Kool-aid instead and ours was red not pink but you can find the recipe here:

We were rockin' our valentine's day t~shirts
As we waited for our play~dough to cool we enjoyed some conversational heart math.

As we waited for our play~dough to cool we enjoyed some conversational heart math.
We graphed and counted and sorted 'til our heart's content.
After our counting math fun we made these,
Little sweet~hearts, each and every one of them.
After a morning of valentine's day activities it was time for lunch and a nap,.
We had chicken noodle soup in a heart bowl, heart-cheesy toast, carrots and ranch dip, apple rings, and a heart cake with milk.
The children woke to find these waiting for them.
They were so excited and from here the party ensued.
They are all so sweet. After going through their valentine's buckets it was time to let them exchange valentine's.
We partied like it was 1999.
After all our partying and sugar intake it was time to calm down a little and roll out our sparkling cherry play~dough.
They really liked that sweet cherry scent.
I found a graduated set of heart cookie cutters in the Target's dollar bins. The kids really enjoyed making hearts with their cherry play~dough. I nice ending to a nice day.
For parent's gifts we made these.
I found the frames at the Dollar Tree for a dollar each and the children glued foam hearts personalizing them.
I hope everyone's valentine's day was as happy as was ours.
