Moe Monkey

I hope everyone had a wonderful, long, Labor Day Weekend.

Today we met Moe Monkey and he helped us to learn letter Mm.

We enjoyed this book from the Alphatales book set.

The children loved the story about this miserable monkey and his Monday.

After reading our story and learning our song we made these Moe Monkey hats

We are such cute little Moe Monkeys!

We made these really cute Moe Monkey puppets to take home with us to help us find pictures of Mm items.

Next, we made these cute lace up Moe Monkeys with a set of Mm cards.

The children colored their monkeys but I did not have them color the Mm cards, rather I sent them home with a note to the parents to let their children color their cards and then feed them to their Moe Monkeys.

After we colored our Moe Monkey  Ms. Pamela cut them out for us and we laced our mouths to our monkey's face.

Then we fed our Moe Monkey his Mm cards.  Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm  he sure did like those Mm words.

After lunch and a nap we did these Mm writing sheets.

They had so much fun.  They really love to color and they are so careful with their writing.  I have a great group of children.

I planned too many activites for just one day so we had a second Moe Monkey day.  The children were invited to bring along a monkey pal for the day.

We fed Moe Monkey Mm word cards.  The children LOVE this activity.

We made macaroni art and macoroni M's

We played with our Mm play dough mats

We enjoyed our Mm tactile tubs.  Some of the macaronis had  Mm's written on them.  The children shifted through to find the Mms.
