Today was all about colors. I'm assessing the children as we head into this new school year, so today I found out which children knew which colors. We also had a lot of fun to boot.
(Sung to the tune of She'll be Coming Round the Mountain)
B-R-O-W-N that spells brown.
B-R-O-W-N that spells brown.
B-R-O-W-N
B-R-O-W-N
B-R-O-W-N
I like brown.
After we learned our color of the month's song we took a look at this cute bear book about colors.
I called the children, one by one, to the table to play a fun color game with me. Who said "testing" has to be stressful.
Next we made a color book to take home to "read" to mom and/or dad to help us review the colors each day. We glued colored construction paper bears, one per page of our book, then wrote the color word.
Our color this month is BROWN. We are learning to recognize and spell it, so naturally we painted with brown paint today.
After nap we enjoyed a brown snack, aka chocolate pudding then practiced our writing with this worksheet.
We had a great brown bear day!
See you tomorrow
Ms. P
