Last week we made blue bubble bears and the children enjoyed blowing bubbles so much I wanted to allow them the experience again, so they came in today to find this waiting for them.
They had so much fun blowing bubbles it was hard to get them to set it aside to do our other activities today.
I was able to wrestle the bubble tubs away from them with the promise of letting them get back to them as soon as they finished this art.
Bubble Bb's.
Then we went back to making bubbles in our tubs.
I talked the children into putting away our bubble tubs with the promise of playing bubbles of a different sort.
I got them to leave behind the bubble fun by introducing a new building block. They LOVED the new blocks.
I find it's always wise to rotate toys so there is always something new to hold the children's attention.
It surely did work today.
They loved building with the new blocks.
I called them, one at a time, to bring their blocks to the art table to create these block arts.
With every letter art we do I have the children practice writing the letter of the week. It's a good way to sneak in that writing practice and helps better establish the letter in the children's minds.
After building and painting with our blocks it was time for a lunch of chicken patty, broccoli and cheese, french fries, apple slices and milk.
When we woke from naps and enjoyed our snack we explored out button box. I added the Bb cards I had made for bread day and colored circles for the children to sort the buttons.
They really enjoyed exploring the button box. We reread The Button Box as well.
We then practiced writing our names and this bubble Bb writing sheet.
It was a beautiful day today so we headed outside to enjoy the warmer weather.
See you guys tomorrow.
