January 31st White Day

I've become a bit of a slacker where the blog is concerned.  Lots of great stuff going on in my life right now, the business is growing hand over fist, but it means a bit of extra work for me in the evenings and the blog just feel off the to do list for a couple of days.

W~H~I~T~E
that spells white
sing with me
clouds above
and snow below
Santa's beard
Ho~ho~ho!

Thus began our white day.

We then explored Charles G Shaw's It Looked Like Spilt Milk, a simple yet beautiful book.

This beautiful yet simple book was perfect for our white day with white images popping off of blue background.  Of course what it really turned out to be were clouds.

Now it was time for us to break out the white paint.

So, what do you suppose ours looks like?

Sometimes it looks like a dinosaur.

Sometimes it looks like a big door to a fun party!

Sometimes it looks like a big dinosaur.

After making our 'spilt milk' we brained stormed and listed as many things which are white that we could think of.

Rice
Marshmallows
Snow
Snowmen
Snowflakes
Some paint
Some crayons
Salt
Sugar
Cotton balls
Q~Tips
Ms. Pamela's hair

After brain storming and making our list we made white collages.

After gluing all our white items we were ready to get our hands messy.

They had so much white fun.  We wrote Ww in our shaving cream just to make sure they kept the connection with their shaving cream fun and our Ww letter.

After a fun filled white morning it was time for lunch.

Grilled cheese sandwich, apple slices, carrots and celery with dip, chicken noodle soup, and milk.

After  nap we enjoyed a white snack of popcorn and vanilla pudding.  Then it was time to write W-H-I-T-E.

Why be boring and use a pen when you can shake things up?

After writing white we grabbed our pens and practiced our names then we put together little white books.

It was a bit of a struggle to get the kids to understand their white crayon wasn't going to show up well against their white paper, but they soon accepted.

We enjoyed a wonderful Thursday full of white fun.

See you tomorrow,
Ms. P
