Then we did some simple Valentine art. I put out a stencil of a heart and scissors to let the children cut hearts, I also put out pre-cut hearts and let the children glue them to black paper.
The children would have cut and glued all day had I paper and time enough to allow them.
The kids were fussy through out the morning, it was a cold, wet day, so I balled up paper to make "snowballs" and we had a Texas style snowball fight.
They had such a good time and the mood lifted...of course the whining and touchy feelings started right back up as soon as we put away the last "snowball." LOL
We ate lunch a little early and settled down for naps.
Fish sticks, corn, broccoli, blood oranges and milk to drink.
After nap I sat with each child, one on one, and we went over the Vv lessons on ABCmouse.com
A wonderful, online learning site. The children love it and it allows me to track their progression.
Then we practiced our names and did this fun writing project.
Violet V's are very versatile, don't you think?
See you tomorrow,
Ms. P
