SNAKE DAY

After starting the day by reviewing our days of the weeks, months of the year, weather, shape, abc, and number review we got busy making our cardboard snakes.

We painted toilet paper tubs which were cut in half.  Punch two holes on either side of the tubs and on both ends.  You will use these to string the snakes together.

Next,

We glued on a tongue and wiggle eyes.

Then,

We glued on colored dots and strung the halves together to create our super strong sensational Ss snake.

The children glued an S shaped snake to paper, then outlined the S snake with glue (sneaky writing) before gluing on colored dots and practicing writing their dotted Ss's and writing the dotted snake.  Fun learning!

The rest of the day was spent playing our Sally Spider snags supper game, and making play-dough snakes and S's.

Happy learning everyone!
