We were styling in our green today.
We started our day reading this Dr. Seuss classic
Then, of course, we had to make green eggs and ham for breakfast.
First we broke some eggs.
Then we added some milk, salt, and pepper
and a few drops of green food coloring
then we whisked it all together
There you have it, green eggs and ham
of course our ham was bacon, but we loved it just the same
I put together green sensory tubs starting with dried split peas, green coins, and green cups.
The kids really enjoyed them.
We read this Leo Lionni classic favorite
I put together these sensory bags for the children to see first hand that blue and yellow, when mixed together, make green. I put some shaving cream in Ziplock baggies, added a drop of blue and yellow food coloring, then tapped the tops closed and
let the kiddos at 'em
and we learned the hard way what happens when we put our full weight on the baggies
"That was awesome!" was all she had to say about it.
We got out the paint and mixed blue and yellow together
We made green collages. I sat with the children and let them list things that were green then we found pictures of the the things they listed on the internet to print then the children glued them to their art paper.
We enjoyed a green lunch today of green mac and cheese, little smokies, snow peas and celery with dip, green grapes and green apple slices, and green juice.
After nap we practiced writing our names and did this green worksheet.
I hope your St Patty's day was as much fun as was ours.
See you tomorrow.
Ms. P
