We started the day off reviewing our Big Bad Bobby Brown song and thinking of more Bb words to add to our chart.
Then we read this wonderful bear book
We will revisit this book often and there will be more activities with it next week, I just wanted to introduce the kids to Eric Carle's Brown Bear, Brown Bear. They loved the chant quality of the story and guessing what Brown Bear saw next. We read it through three times.
Then we turned our attentions to making a Blue Bubble Bear.
Put warm water in a pan then add bubble solution, add a drop or two of food coloring, add one child, one bending straw and there you have it, a recipe for blue bubble fun!
After the children blew their bubbles up big and tall we laid a piece of paper with a bear pattern on top added a button nose, wiggle eyes and a growly mouth and there you have it,
A blue bubble bear.
Next we made a blue butterfly Bb.
Ms. P was not happy with the way they turned out and now, looking at the pictures, I can see, I forgot to have the kids add eyes. Oh well, next time I'll get it right.
We went to the carpet and I introduce bristle blocks to the day. The kids had a blast building with them and spent the better portion of free play time building with the bristle blocks.
Then it was time to take an artistic spin on all the bristle block fun so I brought them to the table, one at a time, to create a bristle block art.

After a morning of Bb fun it was time for lunch and a nap.
When woke from nap we enjoyed a Bb snack
Bears and apple juice.
Then it was time to practice our names and writing our Bb.
It was a busy but happy day.
See you tomorrow
Ms. P
