SNOW DAY

Today we had fun in the snow Texas style.

First we built a snowman.  "How," you might ask?  By taking three cups of flour and mixing it with a cup and a half of baby oil.

Add in some Crayons and Legos and you end up with,

this little fellow.  The children spent almost an hour building and crushing several snowmen.  The texture of this "snow" is very silky and soothing.

After we built our snowmen it was time to go nuts in the snow.

this snow was made by mixing equal parts glue with shaving cream.  The measurements do  not have to be exact.

Watch out for winter-messy hands.

Before we cleaned up our winter mess we wrote Ss in the snow several times.  Snow much fun!

After playing in our snow it was time to paint a snowy picture.

We talked about how snow feels, looks, what it smells like and what it sounds like and what we think it would taste like.

After a lunch of soft tacos, salad, cinnamon apples, chips with nacho cheese, and milk, we napped.  After we woke from our nap we made marshmallow snowmen.

First we practiced writing letter S,

then we glued marshmallows to our snowman

Then we ate some marshmallows!

After writing our Ss's we practiced writing our name.

After writing our name we played with our fire/police station.

See you tomorrow for the second day of our snow day Texas style.
